In 2023, FRH launched a new program specifically focused on migration. This initiative aims to build the capacity of NGOs and grassroots groups, empowering them to advocate for and safeguard the rights of migrant workers—a vulnerable population in the country.
The program began by identifying NGOs and grassroots groups and assessing their capacity-building needs. FRH reached an agreement with FENASOL (the National Federation of Syndicates in Lebanon) and four members of the Domestic Migrant Workers’ Union under the FENASOL umbrella. Four workshops were conducted to explore and thoroughly discuss these needs.
